Do I need to take yen with me when I depart my country?
For the first few days after arriving in Japan, we recommend that you carry enough cash with you to pay for restaurant menus, everyday items and extra expenses. There are enough ATMs in Japan so you can withdraw money at any time. The most practical option would be to exchange money at the airport before departure or after arrival.
